Misery by Stephen King
Misery is a book about an author named Paul Sheldon writing a thrilling series. Due to a car crash catastrophe, he finds himself at the mercy of an engrossed fan entangled in a lost reality. Her deep obsession with Sheldon's series leads her to a rage in which she drugs and keeps him imprisoned in hope that he'll end the book in her approval. This knee shattering novel will always keep you intoxicated and weigh your eyes down to a page analyzing word by word.
Henry David Thoreau WALDEN and Civil Disobedience
This book is my current read and although it's quite hard to read, I find it interesting. It's a philosophical text about a man who lived in the woods for two years. He literally went into the middle of nowhere and wrote about whatever was on his mind. The most interesting aspect of this book is that he's so isolated; he's putting himself into a mindset that no one else experiences -- that's just what he wanted.
